After Sociological cursus, Jérôme Edou studied Tibetan Buddhism for  20 years close to most famous masters of different schools: Zen, Théravada, etc. He is researcher, translator of Tibetan and also author.
Since nearly 20 years, he is leaving in Nepal; he is now aknowledged as one of best specialist of Himalaya.
He established two agencies Kathmandu that he still runs:
- Base Camp Trekking specialised in Cultural Tours, Trekkings and Expeditions in Nepal and whole himalayan arc ranging from Ladakh-Zanskar to Tibet & Bhutan
- Ajanta Voyages which organizes Thematic journey in Himalaya: Taichi, meditation,
painting, yoga, etc.
Besides he supports in Nepal
Garuda association which organizes sport events for underprivileged children of Kathmandu and rules a care center for handicaped children and a social center for education and family planning of unpoverished women.
