| Football for Street Children |
 |
|
| Since more than 7 years, the Garuda association has been organizing football for the disadventaged children of Kathmandu valley. |
| 1. |
To train Nepalese coaches, |
| 2. |
To provide sport equipments to the children: Jerseys, balls |
| 3. |
To rent the ground and to found small neighbourhood clubs |
| 4. |
To train children - girls and boys - several times a week and to organize Garuda Cup, a grand sport day which gathers nearly 350 disadvantaged children every year. |
|
|
URGENT football :
Our young players have grown : our
team is in Nepal Division III and played the Round Robin to
reach Division II ! But we don't have the means to run this
team. Garuda Sport Club is therefore looking for a Club, or
a Youth Association willing to help us. Any suggestion and proposal
are more than welcome. Thanks. |
Garuda Home at Kathmandu |
In a country where very less children go to school, the physically handicapped are totally left on there own. A team of guides of Base Camp Trekking launched a project to create a center for shelter and care in deprived suburb of Kathmandu, with the help of the orthopedist doctor or the Frency Embassy.
Therefore we have a house to shelter the project and start the sewing workshops that we animate since 3 years for women in difficulty. In the alternative time, in that place, we will be able to organize alphabetization classes and various trainings for the women of the neighborhood or of remote villages. |
