Everest Lafuma Sky Race III 2008
from November 7 to 24, 08
10 Stages
The third Everest Lafuma Sky Race will match the Himal Race 07's mind. With light technical support to increase the autonomy and to decrease the cost. Unlike the Annapurna Mandala Trail, that is a mountain trail with stages, ELSR is a sequence of mountain races, achieved on 250 km (+/- 14.500 m). Starting from Lukla, the itinerary divided into ten stages will pass by spots which raised the fame of this course: Renjo La (5.340 m), Gokyo Ri (5.350 m), Cho La (5.420 m)and Kala Pattar (5.540 m), and of course Gokyo lakes(4720 m)… But also new places, scout by Yves Détry in 2006 such as Tsho lake (4.962 m) and an amazing pass: Sumna La (5638 m). The third venue of ELSR is promising to be quite mineral and Himalayan facing Cho Oyu (8.153 m), Lhotse (8.501 m), Lhotse Shar (8.383 m), Makalu (8.475 m) and Everest (8.850 m).
The price of Everest Lafuma Sky Race III 2008 was fixed to 2800 Euros. This includes subscribing to the Race, the expenses in Nepal (land and air transfers, accommodation) and the international airfare France/Nepal (two ways).
