Tibet has always been exercising some fascination for the Occident. This all probably started with Marco Polo’s travels stories. A spiritual land with thousands of Buddhist monks, todays Tibet is no more the country that Alexandra David Neel or Father Huc described. This Tibet does not exist anymore. But another Tibet is getting reborn from its hashes. Resilience, lasting fervor and survival tenacity constitute the real heritage of Tibet. None ever comes back unchanged from a trip to the country of the High Plateau, lying at more than 4000 meters high; a virgin land, a desert where our spirit seems closer to the sky...
Different itineraries are possible in Tibet: traveling from Kathmandu to Lhassa and Central Tibet; exploring the sacred Mt Kailash; or discovering the Kham and Amdo regions.
Despite historical tribulations, Tibetans people fervor continues to be intact and Tibet remains a unique adventure land. Trekking in Tibet or just travelling through its cultural heritage remains a life time experience.
For those preferring something more -cozy-; we also organize travels to the most important cultural sites in central Tibet: Great monasteries of Samye or Drepung, tiny hermitages where pilgrims converge to, are spiritual enchantments none ever comes back unmoved.
But Tibet is also the immensity of its high altitude plateau. The land of pastoral nomads where we can trek for days between Earth and Sky. And it s also toward the Sacred mountain of Kailash that converge all pilgrims and trekking lovers for a unique trip on the top of the world.
