Manaslu Trek
(Valley of Light and the Mountains of the Spirits)
Through the valleys and plateaus, we leave for 13 days of walking in the heart of the Samapa country, at the foot of Manaslu (8163m): Off the beaten track in a still very wild Himalaya which gives the impression of being in Nepal from 20 years ago. Much less crowded than the Annapurna tour or the Everest base camp trek, we will enjoy panoramas that are just as impressive but even more varied, the impression of passing through the four seasons, from tropical forests to snow-capped peaks at 7000 and 8000 which surround us passing through the gorges and arid steppes, from cows to yaks to monkeys. We will walk facing Manaslu, which we will see appear and disappear throughout our stay, until reaching the Larkya La pass, at 5106m, the highest altitude of this circuit.
This crossing of the different Himalayan levels will dazzle us with its unique landscapes but also capsize our hearts thanks to the meetings with families of different ethnic groups during our crossings of villages inhabited by Gurung, Tibetans, or even Manangi Tibetans. A beautiful approach to the Nepalese Himalayas, in the secrecy of remote valleys.
- Manaslu from all angles.
- A region with fewer people.
- Meeting with the Gurung, Samapa & Manangi ethnic groups.

Laurianne Petit Trip (Voyage) : Manaslu Trek Date of Trip : 17/12/19 - 02/01/20
Dear Jérôme and Fabien,
A second experience with your agency. What can I say about the marvelous trek, perfect in every way (lodge, "off the beaten track" aspect, meetings and routes…)
Above all, I would like to point out to Stéphan:
• The exceptional competence, kindness and attentiveness of Pasang,
• The courage, skill and incredible work that went beyond porting Mingma. A second guide with the same qualities!
They were an incredible and complementary team.
Sanu, our driver, is also a traveling companion that we appreciated!
So a big thank you for this experience, this dream fulfilled. We will be happy to come back to you!
Best regards,
Laurianne Petit.

Hello to all the Base Camp Trek team,
We have been back from Nepal been a week and now my husband and I make a small email.
We had a wonderful time.
We wanted to thank you, Marie, Rashmi, Fabien, above all for your responsiveness and professionalism in organizing our trip.
A big thank you also for the team that you have set up to accompany us, our patient and conciliatory Krishna guide, also interesting to tell us about Nepal.
A big thank you to his young assistant too, always smiling and dedicated.
Special mention for our porters, that it was not always easy to see with our loads on the back, they also always cheerful.
We will advise your agency it is sure for the friends wishing to make a trek well organized because we also greatly appreciated, the choice of lodges, the proposed food and the rhythm of the trek.
And finally we will of course recommend Manaslu Circuit trek, we were conquered by the varied landscapes, the gorges, the roaring torrent and the deserted expanses of high altitude, the kindness of the population, the smile of the children.
This intimate trek, during which we often felt to be alone in the world ....
Many thanks.
Sincerely.
Evelyne et Nacer Bellal

Hello Fabien,
The end of the trip is very close for me and I wanted to thank you for your availability and help throughout this stay.
This adventure was wonderful and would not have been the same without the fabulous team of BaseCamptrek sent with us. There was the guide, the assistant guide and the porters, they were all wonderful and took great care of us. They were keen to share Nepalese and Tibetan culture with us, making this trek much richer than a simple hike.
I was particularly impressed by the guide's patience and professionalism.
The only small downside is the discovery of Kathmandu which was a bit hassle. But that doesn't take away from the magic of this trip.
A big thank you to the entire base camp team.
