Nepalese walk from the royal cities to the Himalayan foothills

From the historic cities of the Kathmandu valley to idleness in Pokhara, this diverse journey holds moments of wonder and contemplation of the Himalayan snowy peaks. We begin our journey diving into the effervescent valley of Kathmandu. The fascinating visits to Swayambhunath and Bouddhanath (the two oldest Buddhist stupas in the valley) and to Pashupatinath (a 12th century Hindu site dedicated to Shiva) illustrate the two religions that are often one in the Nepali syncretism. Still more emotions in Bhaktapur, the most beautiful medieval city of the valley. Then drive to Pokhara and two days of excursion among the villages at the foot of the Machhapuchhare before reaching Terai. Traduction en Anglais.

Chitwan National Park, its fauna and tropical vegetation form a Kipling décor in which we walk, do canoe and elephant ride to meet rhinoceros... and maybe tigers!
